PURPOSE:To shorten an axial length to miniaturization and also to increase blast of a blower by arranging two diametral cooling gas passages provided on axial end of a stator frame and counter each other in the flow direction in the same axial plane. CONSTITUTION:The first continuity passage 38 provided on an axial end of a stator frame to lead a gas in a stator end winding domain 36 to a compound cooler 16 and the second continuity passage 39 through which to lead a gas from a divided cooling section 17 to a rotor opening 23 are arranged in the same axial plane. In this case, the second continuity passage 39 is formed spirally and arranged in the first continuity passage 38. The axial length can now be shortened thereby to miniaturization, and a blast can be increased by eliminating a necessity of a gas guiding stationary blade. |
