<p>PURPOSE:To enable wet desulfurization low in a running cost in the site, by using spent shale after dry distillation of oil shale to a combustion gas of an oil shale dry distillation process. CONSTITUTION:In an oil shale dry distillation process, a gas based on hydrogen and containing hydrogen sulfide is prepared as a byproduct and fired to be utilized as the heat source of the dry distillation process but, as the absorbent of hydrogen sulfide in said gas and the sulfur component in oil shale a, spent shale b is supplied to an absorbing tower 30 directly or after mixed with water d and contacted with the gas from a conduit 9 to carry out wet desulfurization. As referred above, it is not necessary to receive the absorbent from an other place and the economical absorbent is obtained by utilizing spent shale.</p> |
