PURPOSE:To reduce load to the bearing surface greatly and make a bearing in smaller size by installing a bearing to receive both a radial and a thrust load at the shaft penetrating part of the casing and leading the own discharge water back to the suction chamber as lubricant water. CONSTITUTION:At the shaft penetrating part on the shaft joint 13 side, a bearing 4 to receive radial load is furnished to introduce the high pressure water from the discharge part 6 to the periphery of said bearing 4 through a conduit 7, whereafter this water is sent into the gap against a shaft sleeve 15 through a through hole 14 to act there as a lubricant and coolant and, then, is returned to the low pressure part 9 on the suction side. On the counter shaft joint 13 side, two faces are provided - i.e., a bearing to receive the radial load and a thrust bearing 11 to receive thrust load with its end face. According to this arrangement, water lubrication is performed there and the thrust force in either direction to the right or left is received which is produced by the hydraulic umbalance, so that the pump can be made in small size, the reliability enhanced and manufacturing cost suppressed. |
