PURPOSE:To change the pitch of a propeller with simple construction, in the captioned device where a propeller shaft and input shaft are connected to Z shape through a vertical rod, by longitudinally moving a variable pitch rod correspondingly to vertical movement of the vertical rod. CONSTITUTION:An oil hydraulic cylinder 28 is operated, if a vertical rod 26 is lifted or lowered, an arm 41 is turned about a supporting shaft 40 through a lower end lateral bar 39, move a case 42 through a pin 43 longitudinally of a propeller shaft 18 and move an engaging element 44 in a long hole through a holding member 45, then a variable pitch rod 24, connected to said engaging member 45, then a variable pitch rod 24, connected to said engaging member 44, is moved longitudinally of the propeller shaft 18. In this way, a cross head 25, mounted to the variable pitch rod 24, moves a propeller 23 turning about its mounting shaft 23a through a pin 23c, located in an eccentric position, to change a pitch of the propeller 23. |
