A safety device on a gate, which has two opening gate halves (10) in a direction from each other, in particular a so-called folding gate, at which each gate half is comprised of two gate halves, relative to each other, with one driver, which is set up to drive two spindles connected with each door half (7) axially away from the toward each other for opening and respectively closing the door halves at the same time (10). A frame (2, 3), which is fixed on a gate adjacent, a stationary part and is connected to the spindles (7) in order to absorb their axial reaction forces, it is essentially laterally parallel with the spindles (7) fixed on the stated stationary part. A spring device (13) is arranged on the lateral displacement of the frame (2, 3) from its neutral position to control the driver in such a manner that its driving of the spindles (7) is stopped and/or the direction of operation is reversed.<IMAGE> |
