PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to preheat a fuser by shortening the space distance between a heat source and recording paper, by using a ceramic heater having a heater formed in ceramics formed by pressure sintering. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic platen fuser is constituted by placing tungsten heater 5 on ceramic substrate 4 of about 1.5mm. in thickness, by covering the heater with ceramic film 6 of about 50mum and by pressurizing and sintering them by employing laminate ceramic technique. When this ceramic platen fuser is used, the distance between the heat source and recording paper is about 50mum, so heating heater 5 as the heat source can heat the recording paper smoothly. Therefore, theremal fixation is enabled without preheating the fuser and the improvement of electric power utilization and the securig of safety can be attained. |
