PURPOSE:To obtain a positive image of a high contrast by using a specified dioxime compound as a chelating agent for a photosensitive and heat-sensitive composition contg. a Co (III) ammine or amine complex to lower the coloring density of an exposed part. CONSTITUTION:A dioxime compound represented by the formula (where each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and n is 0-3) is used as a chelating agent. A photosensitive and heat-sensitive composition is manufactured consisting of the 1st layer based on a naphthol or phenol deriv. which loses the reducing power by the action of activated radiation and a sensitizing dye on a support, the 2nd layer based on a Co (III) complex and the chelating agent and the 3rd layer (image forming layer) based on phthalaldehyde or the like which colors by the action of a basic substance, pyrylium dye which is decolored or aminotriarylmethane or the like which loses the coloring power. The composition is imagewise irradiated with visible light, heated, and irradiated with ultraviolet rays. Thus, a colored or decolored image is formed in the part of the image forming layer corresponding to the original image. |
