<p>PURPOSE:To detect the rotation of a reel hub based on accurate loading of a reel, by providing a detection means which checks that a hoop reel is normally loaded on a reel hub and a reel rotation detecting means, in common. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic tape reel 18 is loaded to a reel hub 12, since a side 18' of the reel 18 pushes a projection of a cylinder 13, the cylinder 13 is shifted to a motor 10 side against a spring 15, a sensor 14 detects accurate loading state and supplies a signal to a reel rotation number controlling circuit 21 and a reel loading detecting circuit 22. The circuit 21 controls the reel motor 10 based on a signal from the sensor 14 so that the motor reaches the specified number of revolutions, and the circuit 22 outputs a load inhibiting signal with the signal from the sensor 14 if the reel is not accurately loaded, allowing to prevent serious damage to the magnetic tape.</p> |
