The pendant switch is supported by two strain relief cables (3). A cable (1) having a plurality of control line cores (2) leads from the covering cap (18) of the said switch to the lifting gear motor and running gear motor of a crane which is not illustrated. A handle (5) is connected to the bottom of the upper switching casing (4) of the pendant switch, and has an additional casing (6) for two additional switching inserts connected to it. The pendant switch is pivoted with its bottom pointing towards the operator, for ergonomical adaptation to the hand at the end of a bent arm. The switching casing (4) is connected behind the handle (5) via a protective web (7) to the additional casing (6). An emergency switch (10) is arranged in the top of the switching casing (4) and an actuating element (11), which takes the form of a flick switch, is arranged, for operation of the running gear motor, below the emergency switch (10) within reach of the thumb. Two push keys (12), which can be actuated by the index finger and the middle finger, are arranged one above the other in the rear of the handle (5) for operation of the lifting gear motor. <IMAGE>
