<p>PURPOSE:To improve the roundness of a rolled material, by bringing a standard straight bar into contact with the part between upper end faces of left and right roll calibers and guide rolls to measure relative position deviations of roll calibers on a basis of the difference of quantity of inclination. CONSTITUTION:A standard straight bar 5 is placed between rolling roll calibers 1 and 2, and the tip, whose section is semicircular, of the bar 5 is inserted to the center of the rolling roll caliber 1. The other end of the bar 5 is depressed with the upper face of a lower guide roll 4 as the fulcrum, and an angle theta1 made between the axial line of the bar 5 and a center line 1b in the rolling direction of a caliber 1a is measured. Next, the standard straight bar 5 is turned at 180 deg. and is inserted between roll calibers 1 and 2, and the tip, whose section is semicircular, of the bar 5 is inserted to the center of the roll caliber 2, and the other end of the bar 5 is depressed with the upper face of the lower roll 4 as the fulcrum, and an angle theta2 is measured similarly. A position deviation quantity (e) of roll calibers is obtained on a basis of detected angles theta1 and theta2 by a numerical expression.</p> |
