PURPOSE:To carry out a test for the wheel fatigue of a bicycle with the approximation to an actual travelling pattern, by applying the optional rotary resistance corresponding to the driving force in the real travelling mode to the wheel. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal frame 17 is attached turnably in an up-down and crosswise direction to an erect frame supporting member 7 that is attached swingably leftward or rightward to a machine housing 1 at the lower edge of the member 7. A wheel 31 to be tested is attached to the rear edge part of the frame 17, and a drum 44 at the side of the housing is set to bring into contact with the wheel 31 through the lower part. Then a loading devices 21-27 energizes the front edge part of the frame 17 to the upper part. An equivalent driving force loading devices 60-64 loads the driving force obtained in the actual travelling mode to the wheel 31 in the form of the optional rotary resistance. The motive power transmitting mechanisms 46-48 transmit the rotation of a motor 45 having the variable rotating speed and accelerating/deceleration speed to the drum 44 to rotate the wheel 31. The motive power transmitting mechanisms 46, 49, 50, 57-59 transmit the rotation of the motor 45 to the member 7 via a clutch to give the swinging to the frame 17 and the wheel 31. |
