<p>The brake contains two segments (12,14) with friction dressings (22,26) that are made to grip a rotating drum by a cylinder (28) arranged between two ends (30,32) of the segments (12,14). An anchoring block (34) is fixed between the other two ends (36,38) of the segments while the brace (44) is mounted near the cylinder (28) and is fixed by its ends to each segment (12,14). The brace provides brake regulation by a screw and nut (58,72) worked by a catch (86) and a tooth (74) arrangement that lengthens the brace, using an elastic spacer expanding upon brake pad wear.</p> |
