The harvesting machine has a horizontal platform (1) from which depend three integral legs (16), two on one side and one on the other. Each leg supports a drive or steering wheel (2,3). A harvesting head (9) depends from the platform and can pivot freely about a longitudinal axis. The two steering wheels are controlled by a system (23-27) which permits the simultaneous or independent movement of the wheels. The control system includes an hydraulic jack (26) which is linked to the wheels by longitudinally and pivotally movable rods (23,27).
