<p>The rigid axle (1) is attached to the chassis of a trailer etc. by four bars (3-6). Each bar, or its extrapolation, intersects one or the other of two instantaneous axes of rotation (11,12). The transverse axis (11), perpendicular to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the trailer, allows vertical movement of the axle w.r.t. the chassis. The axis (12), parallel to the longitudinal plane of the trailer symmetry, allows transverse inclinations of the chassis w.r.t. the axle. All the bars are pref. situated on the same side of the axle. Alternately they may be arranged in pairs on either side of the axle.</p> |
