摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the slant amount of document accurately even through it has irregular parts due to the work of perforation by obtaining the coordinates of the point from the read outputs corresponding to a plurality of detecting elements of an opticl detecting means which is arranged so as to cross the moving direction of the document. CONSTITUTION:On a segment AB of about 5mm. which is included in the running surface of the document 1 and forms a right angle with the running direction (shown by an arrow) of the document 1, 48 pieces of detecting elements with a diameter of 0.105mm. are closely arranged with two fixed points 12 and 13 as centers. The irregular parts 5 on a front side 4 of the document 1 have a width of 1mm. and a pitch of 6mm.. A scanning part 20 performs the main scanning in the direction at a right angle with the running direction of the document 10 (1) and the secondary scanning in the opposite running direction. The black and white data is converted into the binary data and stored in a picture memory 40 through a gate 30. A microprocessor 50 checks the stored contents bit by bit. The central coordinates of the main scanning line which detects the front side 4 comprising 24 bits or more are detected twice, and the slant amount of the document 10 is obtained regardless of the irregular parts 5.
