A device for metering viscous fluids is provided, in which strain gauges are attached on the front tapering part of a metering nozzle. With the aid of this strain gauge and an evaluation circuit connected downstream, each strain on the tapering part of the metering nozzle and thus any change in pressure of the fluid fed to the metering nozzle can be detected and the amount of fluid output via the nozzle can be exactly determined and proportioned .
