PURPOSE:To cut rifts within a short time without causing burrs by a method wherein a silicon steel belt is held between rollers in the thickness direction of a stacking section having incomplete rifts and the silicon steel belt is slightly vibrated and displaced while moving the silicon steel belt toward the range where the rifts exist. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel belt is wound by applying rifts for every winding from the width direction to form a wound core 2. The wound core 2 is fixed on a mobile base 1 moving in the horizontal direction by clamps 12. The rifted parts of the wound core 2 are compressed and fixed in the thickness direction by a snap jig 13 and the jig 13 is mounted on the tip of a plunger 16 connected to an exciting device 15 providing a spring 14 which comprises a resonance system. The rollers 20 are pivotally mounted on two pins 19 paralleled between the side plates 17 of the jig 13 to adjust the rollers 20 in accordance with the thickness of the iron core 2. The rifts are fatigued and broken by applying slight vibration and displacement while successively moving the rollers 20. |
