Process and apparatus for producing heat-insulating concrete blocks

A description is given of a simple, time-saving process for producing heat-insulating concrete blocks, in which cavities of the concrete blocks are filled with insulating material smoothly and flush with the upper side and underside of the concrete blocks or to a desired partial height and the said insulating material is subsequently consolidated. The filling with and consolidating of the insulating material take place with the concrete blocks in the same position. The apparatus used comprises a gripping device, a processing section and a transporting mechanism, the gripping device being arranged as a gripping and clamping device on a horizontally movable carriage and having a piston ram which is able to be moved towards a pan firmly connected to the carriage.
