摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure a large flow rate by a compact device, by providing a branched flow path from a main pipe wherein fluid to be measured flows, and obtaining the flow rate based on the increment of the pressure increase that is obtained by imparting the increment of the increase in the flow rate to the branched flow. CONSTITUTION:The most part of the fluid to be measured flows out through an orifice R3 of the main pipe 2. A part of the fluid is separated at a point A, flows through orifices R1 and R2, and joins the main stream at a point C. A piston 5 is moved in a sine wave state by a driving device 6, and the variation in the flow rate is obtained. The pressure variation corresponding to the increased increment DELTAQ of the low rate caused in this way is detected by a pressure difference transducer 7. Its output is inputted to a tuning amplifier 8, and the output is detected by an AC voltmeter 9. Thus the mass flow rate is obtained. The measurement is performed on the small branched flow and the large flow rate in the main pipe, which has the proportional relationship with said small flow is obtained. Therefore the large flow rate can be measured by a compact device.
