The invention relates to a scattered ray grid (7, 19) for an X-ray examination device (2, 4, 5). In scattered ray grids, the primary radiation scattered by the object of the examination is to be absorbed as completely as possible but the unscattered primary radiation containing the image information is to be let through with as little impedance as possible. The invention provides for a plate (14, 20, 21, 22) to be used with a thickness which shields the radiation, holes (15, 24, 25) which are smaller than 1000 mu m in diameter being made in the plate. The plate can be a metal plate. In addition, the invention provides for the plate to comprise two metal sheets (21, 22) which are arranged one on top of the other at a constant distance, connected to one another in a non-displaceable fashion and both perforated. A scattered ray grid according to the invention is suitable in particular for use on X-ray examination devices. <IMAGE>
