A device for putting under tension an endless transmission connecting element (25) comprising a plate (1) carrying a tensioning roller (3), a tensioning spring (5) disposed between the plate (1) and a case (7) adapted to be fixed to a frame (S), and guiding and fixing means provided between the plate and the frame, characterised in that the plate (1) comprises a support abutment (3) for said case (7) and the guiding and fixing means for the plate on the frame (S) are associated with a cam (17) whereby it is possible to displace the plate (1) with respect to the case (7) in opposition to the action of the tensioning spring (5). |
