The hop harvesting machine which cuts the hop vines (1) at their roots and then deposits them in a wagon until they are finally severed from overhead vines uses a conveying system to deposit them in the wagon. After the root has been cut, it is passed between two parallel chains (2) which are supported so that they slope upwards from their receiving ends to a magazine (5) above the wagon (7). This magazine extends across the wagon, and holds a row of vines by their severed ends until they are severed from the wires. The release position of the vines is approximately in the middle of the wagon. PS.
