For repairing pipelines, the latter are coated with a curable plastic composition which forms an internal coating. The process is used principally in underground pipelines in pipeline circuits of the public gas supply and water supply. In the case of main pipelines to which house-connection branch lines are connected, it is necessary to prevent the house-connection line from being blocked by a curable plastic composition which is forced into the branch on lining the main pipeline. To avoid the need to dig a construction pit in the road to expose and open the branch, in the process according to the invention, the orifice of the house-connection line into the main pipeline is located by means of a location device and adhesively covered in a sealing manner by means of an inflatable sealing go-devil (scraper) bearing an adhesive sheet. After production of the interior coating, the orifice is bored open again by means of a rotating pipe-cleaning spiral introduced into the house-connection line from the building.
