<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the occupying floor area of an image forming device by using a discharging tray for originals also as a tray for a sheet sorter, and using the same as the tray of the sheet sorter while an original feeder is not used. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine 1 and a sheet sorter 2 are placed in proximity, and a paper discharge guide 9 is provided in place of a paper discharge tray 6. This is conducted into the tray 8d out of the trays 8a, 8b-8n of the sorter 2 and said tray 8d is used as an original discharge tray. Arrangment is so made that while an original feeder is not in use this tray 8d is used as a tray of the sheet sorter by the signal indicating this. More specifically, during the use of an original feeder 2, originals enter the tray 8d, and while the feeder 2 is not used, it is made usable as the tray of the sheet sorter. With such arrangement, the floor occupying area is reduced.</p> |
