The invention relates to fireproof doors with a door leaf which is of flush or shiplapped design, has a large door surface on the hinged side and on the side opposite the latter, and butts, on the side opposite the hinged side, against a leg of a case which is designed essentially in the form of a Z or a W. According to Figure 4, the invention provides, on the door-leaf (4) door surface (8) on the side opposite the hinged side and in the immediate vicinity of the abutment of the door leaf, profiles (9) which are intended to deflect fire gases, arising between door leaf and case (1), away from the door surface (8). By measures which are simple in terms of design, said fireproof doors prevent the border zone on those sides directed away from the fire from heating up. <IMAGE>
