PURPOSE:To provide a small thermal head improve in the resolution with a better contact onto a heat sensitive paper by inclining a heat generating body in both sides like a ridge from the center straight top after it is formed on a synthetic resin film in a pattern and provided with a wire section. CONSTITUTION:A resistance thin film 2 mainly composed of Ni and Cr is made on a film 1 made of polyimide or the like and a film 5 mainly composed of Cu is formed corresponding to positions intended to make a wire section 3 and a lead connection section 4 thereon. A resistance heat generating body 6 is formed on the film divided into required patterns by an etching. Then, a ridge-shaped inclined surfaces comprising the side AB and the side BC of the film 1 is formed with a jig. With the angle theta held within 150 deg., a protective film 7 made of SiC or the like is formed on the upper portion of the resistance heat generating body 6 by evaporation or the like. Then, the product thus obtained is stuck on the top surface of a metal retaining material 8 with a top angle theta by an epoxyadhesive 9. |
