The invention relates to a device for connecting two pipe ends, in the case of a pipeline which is made up of a multiplicity of individual pipeline parts, as is required, for example, as air cooling for underground work. Since the individual pipeline parts are fastened on spill plates which can pivot with respect to one another, they have to be able to pivot relative to one another and be displaced in the axial direction. In order to connect the pipeline ends, use is made of a device formed from a sleeve part and a joining part. At least one pipeline end can pivot with respect to the sleeve part. The axial displaceability required for length compensation between the pipeline parts is to be ensured according to the invention in that the device is retained and guided with respect to the abutting part, connected thereto, while maintaining a direction which is parallel to its own longitudinal axis. Consequently, an oblique position of the device is prevented, even in the case of very high operation pressure values, and a resulting impairment of the capacity for pivoting is avoided.
