PURPOSE:To prepare a novel amidohydrolase having a selective cleaving action on pantothenyl group, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing a carbapenem antibiotic. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium such as streptomyces fluvoviridis A933(FERM-P 10) belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing a carbapenem antibiotic is inoculated into a nutritive medium, cultivated in a pH of 4-9, preferably 6-8, at 20-40 deg.C, preferably 25-35 deg.C under aerobic condition, and a novel amidohydrolase having an ability to remove pantothenyl group from antibiotic OA-6129A, but substantially no ability to deactylate antibiotic PS-5 is collected from the culture mold. |
