PURPOSE:To detect visually even slight defects of register by printing register groups consisting of combinations of registering defect warning maks made of geometrically and regularly distributed spots and lines, and color-coded patterns and registers on a printing medium. CONSTITUTION:A register group 1 is composed of a cross-shaped register 2 and registering defect warning marks 3 made up of geometrically regularly distributed lines. The register groups 1 are printed, along with color-coded patterns 5-A, 5-B, 5-C, and 5-D, on a printing medium 4. Thus, when proper printing is not made, the register groups 1 are printed in a lapping manner, Moire signal is generated at the registering detect warning marks 7, and therefore, the presence of registering defects can not be confirmed visually. |
