PURPOSE:To prevent rush adjusters from pumping up, by controlling the pressure of oil supply to the rush adjusters so that the pressure is low and constant at all the rotational frequency of an engine. CONSTITUTION:Oil goes up from an oil sump to a cylinder head 1 through the main gallery of a cylinder block and flows to the oil grooves of bearing sections through the oil holes 8 of a cam shaft housing 2 and intermittently enters into the internal passage 4 of a cam shaft 3 through communication holes 13. When the oil is flowing in the passages 4, it gushes through jet holes 5 to lubricate cams and rocker arms 21. After that, the oil flows to rush adjuster oil supply holes 9 through the communication holes 14 of intermediate bearing sections and oil holes 10 and is supplied to the rush adjusters 18. |
