PURPOSE:To recognize simply the device number of the remote side which is connected with a port, by giving the information on the device number from outside and connecting each port to the remote side device of said device number. CONSTITUTION:The information on the device number of a prescribed storage controller MCU connected with plural ports P which are provided to (n) units of central processors CPU is fed to the CPU from a console via a signal line. A switch control circuit receives said device number information and controls a switch circuit. The switch circuit connects a prescribed requested signal line to a prescribed port. That is, a prescribed port is connected an MCU of the prescribed device number. A floating control FLC can be regarded to show a device number. It is shown that a CPU1 is connected to an MCU1 when the CFR and FLC show ''001'' and ''1'' respectively. In such way, the number of the remote side device can be decided at a console, and the number is simply recognized for the remote side device connected with a port. |
