An electrical retaining contact, to which a contact rail (5) which is bent at right angles and forms two limbs (7 and 8) belongs, and of which contact rail the one limb (7), the connecting limb, is used for the permanent connection of an electrical conductor, while the other limb (8) consists of two parallel contact tongues (8a, 8b) which, between them, form a slot (11) for retaining a contact blade (12), for example the contact tabs of a low-voltage high-rupture-capacity fuse cartridge, which slot (11) extends in the longitudinal direction of the contact rail from the free end of the limb (8) over the bend into the connecting limb (7). The contact pressure which is exerted by the contact tongues (8a, 8b) on the contact tab (12) is produced by means of a spring (6). According to the invention, there are recesses in the bent part of the contact rail (5) on the outer sides of the contact tongues (8a, 8b). The spring (6) has two spring arms which are bent at right angles, each of which runs along one contact tongue (8a, 8b) and, with its free end, forms a force-fitting connection with the contact tongue. The retaining contact according to the invention has no tendency to block when the contact blade is inserted, and the contact tongues have a long elastic spring movement. <IMAGE> |
