PURPOSE:To enable a digital plate of high resolution to be made easily without destruction, by providing an electrochromic layer on one side of a transparent base and a photochromic layer containing a spiropyran derivative on the other side. CONSTITUTION:An electrochromic layer 2 and a photochromic layer 3 are laminated on both sides of a transparent base obtained by providing transparent conductive layers 12 on both sides of a transparent support 11. As EC, either of organic and inorganic types can be used if it can be formed into a thin layer. The photochromic layer consists essentially of a polymer or a solid solution polymer containing a indolinobenzopyrylspiran derivative. When a digital image current signal 4 is given to the EC layer 2 with multistyli or the like, the part 2a through which the current flows develops color. The photochromic layer 3 is converted into the electrostatic printing plate having the pattern of electric resistance by uniformly irradiating the support 11 from the layer 2 with active radiation 5. |
