PURPOSE:To obviate the occurrence of unnecessary strain in a disc section of a turn table of a record player, by attracting and supporting the disc section by opened end surfaces of a pluraity of suction cylinders. CONSTITUTION:The turn table 1 is positioned using gripping holes 14, and is correctly set on a rotating base 6. The disc section 4 of the turn table 1 is abutted on the opened end surfaces of the suction pipes 7. Then in this state, the suction source is actuated to apply vacuum to the inside of each suction cylinder 7 thereby attracting and supporting the turn table 1 by the suction cylinder 7. Next, the rotating base 6 is rotated to cause the attracted and supported turn table 1 to rotate with the rotating base 6, and during this rotation the turn table 1 is machined by a bit to have an axial hole 2, a rim 5, etc. |
