<p>PURPOSE:To increase the storing amount of chips, to realize complete unmanned operation, and to recover a cutting oil, by providing a press inserting pipe, which is tapered and upwardly curved, to a hopper for chips yielded by a machine tool such as a lathe, drilling the undersurface of the curved section of the pipe to form openings in the undersurface, and forcing in the chips by the reciprocal movement of a pressing lever. CONSTITUTION:The driving wheel 7 is interlocked with tool machine so that it is rotated clockwise to reciprocate the pressing lever 3 along an inclined guide rail 70. As a result of this movement and due to the entanglement of the chips, the chips in the hopper 12 are packed by pawls 11, 11 toward a base opening 2 through which they are pressed into the inserting pipe. Since the press inserting pipe 1 is tapered, the volume of the chips is compressed to be reduced, and at the same time the cutting oil adhered thereto is squeezed, and the oil is allowed to drop from the through-openings, and is recovered as shown by the reference numeral 13. Accordingly, the storing amount of the chips can be increased, the unmanned operating is enabled, and the cutting oil can be recovered to be used again.</p> |
