PURPOSE:To form a number of ruggedness, press or push the positive or negative electrode thereto in order to obtain a collecting effect, enhance the heavy- load discharge characteristic of the captioned battery as well as eliminate requirement of the fixing work on a collector, by performing a metallic flame spraying process on the sealing plate or on the inside surface of a battery container. CONSTITUTION:A sealing plate 6 and a battery container 2 are washed, then a molten stainless steel is sprayed on the insides of the sealing plate and the battery container by means of the compressed air, and the predetermined, required parts of said plate and container are only exposed and said parts are only processed. When the sprayed stainless steel is cooled, it adheres strongly to the surface while forming a number of ruggedness, whose size and number can be controlled by the sprayed amount and the pressure of compressed air used. |
