PURPOSE:To change a friction damper effect, by adjusting pinch-holding means in the direction of lamination of spring plates. CONSTITUTION:To change the pinch-holding force for a laminated plates spring 14, the tightening torque of the double nuts 24 of each pinch-holding means 18 is altered by a torque wrench or the like to adjust the tightened quantity of the double nuts. When an automobile provided with the laminated plates spring 14 under the adjusted pinch-holding force is moving, the plates spring 17 slides on both the ends of the adjacent plates spring 17 because of the vibration between the rear axle and the side member 11. At that time, a friction damper effect is produced on both the ends of the plates spring 17 by the sliding. The friction damper effect can be altered by changing the pinch-holding force. |
