PURPOSE:To reduce the Q value without decreasing sound velocity, by forming a TiC layer and a graphite layer on the surface of a titanium series metallic plate formed into a diaphragm plate shape. CONSTITUTION:A speaker diaphragm plate is constituted by sequentially forming a TiC layer 2 and a graphite layer 3 on a titanium system metallic plate 1 formed into a diaphragm plate shape. In manufacturing this speaker diaphragm plate, the plate 1 formed into the diaphragm plate shape is placed under gas eous atmosphere of 0.001-1 atm. including 5-50vol% hydrocarbon, the hydrocarbon is thermally decomposed at 400-900 deg.C, the generated graphite is sedimentated on the titanium series metallic plate, and, in addition to form the TiC layer 2 through mutual thermal diffusion between the graphite layer 3 and the titanium metallic plate formed |
