PURPOSE:To manufacture a coin and a medal which has saved resources and is inexpensive, without spoiling their characteristics, by concentrically placing the members whose material quality is different, on the same plane, plastically deforming a soft member, making it flow into a recessed part of a hard member, and coupling them. CONSTITUTION:A fixed clamping fixture 5 is surrounded by both an outside circumferential member 1 of a soft member such as a copper alloy, etc., and an inside circumferential member 2 of a hard member of a copper nickel alloy, etc. The upper surface around the coupling part of the outside circumferential member 1 and the inside circumferential member 2 is pressed by a press clamping fixture 6, the outside circumferential member 1 is plastically deformed, a part of the outside circumferential member 1 is made to flow into a recessed groove 4 of the inside circumferential member 2, and both are coupled. Subsequently, on the surface, the reverse side and the outside circumferential surface of this coupling member, a pattern, a character, an uneven part, etc. are molded and worked, by which a coin or a medal is completed. Also, the quality of material of the inside circumferential member 2 and the outside circumferential member 1 is reversed, and a coin, etc. are completed in the same way. |
