<p>PURPOSE:To permit small size, light weight, and energy save by a method wherein one end of the secondary leading coil is connected to the center tap of the secondary lagging coil and a phase advance capacitor is connected to the other end of the secondary leading coil. CONSTITUTION:The primary coil 1, the secondary leading coil 6, and the secondary lagging coil 2 are arranged at the central section, one side, and the opposite side of an I-type internal iron core 7 respectively and a slit 7a is provided at a place corresponding to the arranged part of the coil 6. Furthermore, an E-type external iron core provided with leakage magnetic paths 8a, 8b is arranged. One end of the coil 2 provided with the center tap 2a is connected to one end of the coil 1 and the other end of the coil 2 is connected to one electrode of an electric-discharge lamp L1. The center tap 2a is formed so that N1/N2 may be within a range of 0.05-0.3 when the number of windings at one end side of the coil is N1 and the number of windings at the other end side of the coil is N2. One end of the phase advancing secondary coil 6 is connected to the center tap 2a and a phase advancing capacitor 4 is connected to the other end of the coil 6.</p> |
