PURPOSE:To keep the temperature of water within a predetermined temperature range continuously and at a high response speed, by operating or stopping operation of part of or all of chilling units when the temperature of water passed through a heat exchanger becomes higher or lower than an upper or a lower limit values. CONSTITUTION:Chilling units 2A-2D are arranged in parallel to each other and they lower the temperature of water supplied to a heat exchanger 1 at the time of space-cooling operation while raise the water temperature at the time of space-heating operation. Pumps 3A-3D are connected directly to the first to the fourth chilling units, respectively, for circulating water through the chilling units and the heat exchanger, and check valves 4A-4D are connected directly to the pumps 3A-3D, respectively, for preventing back-flow of water. Further, the chilling units 2A-2D and the heat exchanger 1 are connected to each other by a going pipe 5 and a return pipe 6. With such an arrangement, operation and stopping of operation of the chilling units 2A-2D is controlled by controlling operation of the pumps 3A-3D by a control unit 8 through detection of the temperature of water passed through the going pipe 5 by means of a water temperature detector 7. |
