PURPOSE:To make display contents in every certain display area abundant, and to display diverse information, by superposing display pattern electrodes of respective unit display layers formed by interposing TN type liquid crystal between display electrodes. CONSTITUTION:As solid-color parts 2, 4 and 6, glass plates are used; liquid- crystal materials 3 and 5 are sandwiched between those glass plates respectively while display electrode patterns 3a and 3b, and 5a and 5b are provided, and those electrodes are transparent. The polarizing directions of polarizing plates 1 and 7 provided on both surfaces of said multilayered body are either in parallel or at right angles. The liquid-crystal layer 3 and electrodes 3a and 3b on both sides constitute one display layer, and the liquid-crystal layer 5 and electrodes 5a and 5b on both sides constitute another display layer similarly. The liquid-crystal layers 3 and 5 use TN type liquid crystal. This display device consisting of two kind of stacked pattern electrodes as mentioned above is arranged at a position D in the visual field of the viewfinder of a camera to constitute a viewfinder display device. |
