PURPOSE:To eliminate the breaking of wire, to reduce optical loss, and to prevent the generation of strain during use, by installing an optical fiber assembly in a pressure-tight layer loosely, uniting the optical fiber assembly with a center support, and drawing and hooking the center support to a housing. CONSTITUTION:A pressure-light pipe 12 is made of a steel plate, and an abutting surface 13 is welded. The external circumference of the pipe 12 is surrounded with plural tensile strength wires 14, and an external sheath 15 is provided around them. In the pressure-tight pipe 12, an optical assembly 11 is installed with a space 18. The optical fiber assembly 11 consists of a center support 21 of a piano wire, a buffer layer 22 of polystyrene, an optical fiber core 23, a buffer layer 24, and a pressure winding 25. Pressure-tight pipes 12a and 12b of optical cables 32 and 33 are inserted into a connection part housing 31, and while cores 23a and 23b are connected together as shown by 39, center supports 21a and 21b are welded together and fixed by anchor clamping tools 41a and 41b. |
