PURPOSE:To control the wave motion of a liquid surface and to obtain a stable water seal, by providing a concentric and hollow circular board form gas dispersion box having a large number of gas blow-off openings on its upper part of the circumference of a gas duct. CONSTITUTION:As for a water sealing device 1, a gas intake duct 4 which is extended from the upper part to the lower part of the inside of a reservoir 3 which contains sealing water 2 and the lower edge 41 of the gas duct 4 opened underneath the surface of the water are provided and a gas exhaust duct 5 is provided on the upper part of the reservoir 3. A gas dispersion box 6 is installed on the lower edge of the gas duct 4, the lower part and a side of the gas dispersion box 6 are closed, and a large number of gas blow-off openings 61 are provided only on the upper part. The gas duct 4 is connected by a slit 7 with the gas dispersion box 6. Thus, not only a pressure drop of passing gas is reduced but also stable water seal can be obtained as a wave motion of the water surface is almost negligible due to a reason that gas is turned into a great number of bubbles and discharged and dispersed evenly in the reservoir 3. |
