PURPOSE:To enable the implementation of an action test for an electricity- light converter without contacting it by supplying power out of the range of stable action from a power supply circuit with a test signal generator connected to the power source. CONSTITUTION:A tester is composed of an input signal source 1 of an electricity-light signal converters, electricity-light converters 2 and 4, an optical fiber cable 3, a power source stabilizing circuit 6 and the like. Normally, an electric signal 1 is transmitted via the electricity-light converter 2, the optical fiber cable 3 and the electricity-light converter 4, while a power source stabilizing circuit 6 permits the supply of power to a load 2 keeping a constant voltage as the power source voltage is within the range of B. If a test signal generated from a test signal generator 10 overlaps the power supply voltage of the electricity-light converter 2 is modulated and the light output thereof changes. Accordingly, monitoring the light output with a measuring device 5 enables the testing of the converter 2. |
