PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a heat accumulating type air conditioner of the type accumulating cold in the midnight and to make its structure compact, by disposing an evaporator tube for a refrigerating cycle in a heat accumulating or regenerative tank filled with a latent heat accumulating medium, and forming cooling pipes of a circuit for circulating a cooling liquid used for cooling a room to be air-conditioned on the outside of the evaporator tube in the manner of a double-tube structure. CONSTITUTION:With passing of a coolant liquid through an evaporator tube 16 by operating a space cooler 10 in the night, cold is accumulated in a heat accumulating or regenerative medium in a regenerative tank 11 since cooling liquid in a cooler 22 formed on the outside of the evaporator tube 16 and the heat accumulating medium in the tank 11 are cooled. In space-cooling operation, on the other hand, cooling water is circulated between an indoor heat exchanger 19 and the cooler 22 via a cooling-water circulating passage 23 by means of a pump 20, so that the cooling liquid is cooled by the cold accumulating medium in the regenerative tank 11 and cools a room to be aii-conditioned. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to improve the performance of the air conditioner and to make its structure compact. |
