PURPOSE:To provide superior formation resistance to a photosensitive material by incorporating a specified pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler having a substd. alkyl group at the 6-position into the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler having R2-C(-R1,-R3)-CH2- at the 6-position and represented by the formula is incorporated into a silver halide color photographic sensitive material. In the formula, R1 is alkyl, each of R2 and R3 is H or a substituent, each of Za-Zc is methine, substd. methine, substd. methine, methylene, =N- or -NH-, one of Za-Zb and Zb-Zc bonds is a double bond, the other is a single bond, Za-Zc form pyrazoloazole ring in combination, X is H or a group releasable by coupling and each of substituents represented by R2 and R3 may be halogen, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, amino, cyano, nitro, hydroxy or carboxyl. Superior formalin resistance is provided to the sensitive material and the shelf stability of a dye be improved. |
