PURPOSE:To lift a liquid to a place higher than the pump head with a low head characteristic pump by forming the atmospheric air into fine bubbles through fine holes bored in a bubble mixing means and by feeding them into the lift liquid in a throttle pipe. CONSTITUTION:The atmospheric air is fed through a feed air pipe 6 into the lift liquid flowing through a throttle pipe 1 as fine bubbles from fine holes 3 bored in a bubble mixing means 2. Then, the lift liquid having passed the throttle pipe 1 becomes a mixed phase fluid mixed with fine bubbles in a discharge pipe 4, and the mixed phase fluid has a specific gravity lower than that of the lift liquid itself, although to a different degree depending on the mixing amount of fine bubbles. Therefore, the mixed phase fluid is lifted by the pressure that the resistance loss of the throttle pipe 1 is reduced from the discharge head of a pump 9, and the mixed phase fluid, with its head exceeding the maximum discharge head H of the pump 9, is lifted and fed to a higher lift liquid place 8, thus enabling to lift the liquid to a place higher than a low lift liquid place 7 that would be available normally. |
