The indicator contains a cover fitted with a tube. Insidr the tube, a central body is fitted with a suction conduit and a return conduit for the fuel. A catch is mounted at the lower part of the central body so that the bottom can be affixed. The device is mainly made from plastics, is cheap to manufacture and light. The central body is fitted with two printed circuits, one useo as a resistor. The contacts of a float, which surrounds the central body, slide along the circuits. The lid of the device includes a tooth in the form of a crown, to provide a snap fit to the tank via a sealing ring.
