MINIFLEXIBLE DISK CARTRIDGE

摘要

PURPOSE:To facilitate the discrimination of a flexible disk cartridge to the diversity of materials of recording medium, by providing a cartridge discriminating notch to the position spot-symmetrical to a write enable notch against the center of a jacket. CONSTITUTION:A high density notch 8 for discrimination of a miniflexible disk cartridge having the recording/reproducing characteristics different from a write enable notch 4 is set at the position spot-symmetrical to the notch 4 and to the center of a jacket 5. The detecting parts 10 and 10' corresponding the notches 4 and 8 respectively are set at the position of spot-symmetrical to the center of the jacket 5 and at both sides of the jacket 5. Thus the notch can be discriminated by a detecting unit 9' for discrimination of high density notch which has the same structure as a detecting unit 9 for discrimination of write enable notch.
